Overdose changes plans

Overdose changes hands and plans

According to the Czech language pages of the Paddock Revue web site, the Slovak agency SITA says that the Hungarian phenomenon Overdose has gone into different ownership. Former owner Zoltán Mikóczy retains some shares in syndicate that now owns the horse. Overdose will still go to Britain and will run first at Haydock Park. Instead of being prepared for the race by Amanda Perrett, he will continue to be trained in
Hungary and will not depart until just before the race.

Bartos returns home

Jockey Josef Bartos has now returned home after having an operation on broken facial bones following a kick in the face after a fall at Grosseto. He is likely to be out for at least six weeks.

Tullamore to open his season at Saint Cloud

According to the Czech language pages of the Paddock Revue web site,
2008 Czech Derby winner Tullamore will probably begin his 2009 campaign in the Prix Phil Drake, over 2000 metres at Saint Cloud. Trainer Zdeno Koplík explains: *We don*t have a race for him here. I don*t want him to run downhill at Most, so we must look for a race abroad. Saint Cloud looks like the best opportunity.* He will travel to France next week with The Storm, who showed some good acceleration in his recent race with Overdose at Budapest. The Storm is entered for the Prix Balbo
at Saint Cloud, over a mile.
