Velká Pardubická: Brits offering better odds against Sixteen
Anyone betting on the Velka Pardubicka in Great Britain will come out well if Sixteen wins. She is being offered by Blue Square bleusq.bet at what we refer to as 3:1, that is at 2 to 1 against. On the other hand, Czech punters get odds of 2:1, that is, even money. However, the Brits are offering shorter prices on their own representatives. Mr Big’s British odds are 7:1 (i.e., 6 to 1 against). The odds against most of the other runners are slightly higher. Of course it is against the law for Czech punters to bet online with British bookmakers or through other international channels. The odds offered by the British offices will surely be very interesting for tourists from the British Isles, who traditionally come to Pardubice in considerable numbers and can bet by phone with their bookmakers from here.

Velka Pardubicka weather forecast
As I write on Thursday afternoon, it is a remarkably warm and pleasant October afternoon. However, please be warned that the forecast for the next few days, for what it is worth, is for cool, rainy weather.
Velka Pardubicka, by train from Prague
The first race on Velka Pardubicka day is at 11.10. You are advised to arrive in good time. If you come by train, try to take the 0809 train from Prague Hlavni nadrazi (main station), the 0830 train from Prague Holesovice station, or the 0840 train from Prague Hlavni nadrazi (main station). When you arive in Pardubice, get yourself two 12-crown bus tickets (one for the return journey) in the foyer of the railway station, or from a yellow ticket machine, and find the shuttle bus service, which leaves from the bus stop opposite the station, on the far side of the road, i.e., heading off to the left as you leave the station. Most trains to Pardubice leave from Hlavni nadrazi, and there are 3 or 4 trains per hour.
